Kabul (BNA) in a meeting with elders and representatives of Kamdish district of Nuristan province, the district’s security situation and other problems discussed, a statement from Chief Executive Office said yesterday.
According to the statement, Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah said ensuring security was government’s top priority, adding would instruct the security officials to spare no effort in ensuring security across Nuristan province.
Elders and representatives of Kmdish district enumerate series of their problems, saying all routes connecting to the districts have been facing serious security challenges. They also asked Dr. Abdullah to pay attention to education in the district and grant scholarships for them.
Dr. Abdullah vowed to address their problems, adding their security problem should be discussed in National Security Council meeting. He also promised to personally make efforts in providing education and scholarships to people of Kamdish district, the statement added.
