Public opinion should not be confused

Sunday September 23, 2012
Kabul (BNA) The recent appointment of new governors on one hand has warmly welcomed by the people, and at the same time prompted the domestic and western media to resort to varying comments and assertions.
Naturally, in country or order the changes are based on the prevailing laws, considering the reform aspects within the society.
However, when the Afghan government initiates new appointments or replacements in the country, some domestic and foreign circles sabotage it and they are trying to define the changes in their own way.
One of the instances is a report the AFP of France published recently.
The report writer argues that the government of Afghanistan has replaced the governors who were supporter of the west.
The writer of the report has never thought that with these assertions he has trampling down the fundamentals of journalism and openly intervenes in the domestic affairs of a country that has just rouse out of the dusts of war.
He defines the national thinking in Afghanistan in his own way, while Afghanistan is an independent country, its leadership is being elected by the people of Afghanistan and there exist no authority in this country.
There is no authority to take any step in support of this or any other country.
The fact that no governor or senior government employee on the basis of the Constitution has the right to support and country, while for them the national interests, religious values are preferred the most rather than supporting any other country.
The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan considers such view points and reports as violation of norms of morality of journalism and considers them as attempts for creating discord in the affairs of the country and asks them to be attentive towards their profession and journalistic morality and avoid creating of confusions and empty propagandas for disrupting and confusing the public opinions.
