Kabul (BNA) with passing each day, the date for upcoming presidential election is nearing.
In such a situation, the hopes and harasses also increases, because, one of the worries for holding this process is maintenance security.
A number of our compatriots believe that in the election, security not to be maintained in a suitable manner and would accompany with challenges.
At the same time, while reporting about maintenance security, the authorities of Interior Ministry say that for not meddling of police in election process, it is necessary that the civil institutions to control over police activities.
Acting Interior Minister Mujtaba Patang in a meeting with a number of civil institutions in connection with holding presidential election said that he demands from civil institutions to supervise in Election Day over police activities, they should dispatch their representatives to police command centers that would be established for maintenance election security.
He laid emphasize that the Ministry of Interior and police forces lay down all auditing means  at the disposal of representative’s so to hear all conversations of police forces during holding election and if they comprehend police meddling, the representative should adopt immediate measure.
In connection with the process of maintenance election security, Acting Minister of Interior said that this Ministry has arranged necessary strategy for maintaining security during elections that after one week would be proclaimed during a joint meeting with Independent Election Commission.
According to Patang, one of the worries is lack of sufficient female police for maintenances security in female election centers country-wide.
Now, this ministry is negotiating with Education Ministry so to employ those women who work as teacher or employees at schools and train them for helping female police in Election Day.
He said that 13000 female police is needed for maintenance of security in voting centers while now, this number is estimated about 2200.
Other individuals in collaboration with the Ministry of Education would attract the cooperation of these institution employees for maintenance security in female election zones and efforts would be made so these women to be assisted financially as well.
The in-charge of Media Watch in NAI institution Seddiqullah Tauhidi hinting to previous presidential elections and meddling of police in election process said that in previous election, we had some reports in connection of police meddling in election process.
The measures should be adopted so such meddling not to be repeated.
At the same time, NATO Generals work in Afghanistan believes that the Afghan security forces have the capability to maintain security during upcoming presidential elections in Afghanistan.
They said that they can maintain security in 90 percent voting centers of upcoming presidential elections.
As a whole, this commander of NATO commemorating from promotions, abilities and equipment’s of Afghan security forces added that comparing previous time, their abilities are enhanced and now, they maintain security of 80 percent soil of Afghanistan.
At the same time, a number of our citizens are hoped for a transparent and far from fraud elections and ask government to pay serious attention towards maintenance of security of people and election process.
A student in one of private institutions Ms. Fereshta said in the connection that holding timely election is hopeful for Afghans.
But, what is a matter of concern for people and government is the security issue, because, now, there is no security in some provinces. How we would be hopeful for a transparent and just election in those regions?
In first step, the government should maintain security for election, an election that would be in accord with the demand of all people and they should cast their votes in boxes freely.
This is in a time that because of insecurity in a number of provinces, the previous election was faced with some challenges.
The upcoming elections of Afghanistan that would be held in next spring simultaneous with pullout of foreign forces from Afghanistan.
But, if the government be no serious in this respect, it is possible that upcoming elections would also to be faced with continued challenges and skirmishes.

Two Local Policemen Martyr

Jalalabad (BNA) two local policemen were martyred and another wounded in a roadside mine explosion in Nangarhar province yesterday morning.
Colonel Hazrat Hosain Mashriqiwal, press in charge of Nangarhar police said, a vehicle of local police struck a roadside mine during patrol in Shewa district of Nangarhar province, as a result of which two local policemen were martyred and another wounded.

Twenty Armed Taliban Kill

Ghazni (BNA) twenty armed Taliban were killed and twenty-two others wounded in two separate operations conducted by Afghan security forces in Ghazni province the night before last.
Nabi Jan spokesman of the governor of Ghazni said, Afghan security forces conducting operations in the relevant areas of Zankhan district of Ghazni province killed 10 Taliban and wounded 15 others.
According to Nabi Jan, in this operation, a national police was martyred and another wounded.
The spokesman added that the operation will continue until the complete eradication of insurgents from the district.
Also, a clash occurred between local police forces and the  Taliban in Moqur district of Ghazni province, 10 Taliban were killed and 7 others wounded.
Sahib Khan, governor of Moqor district said, the clash occurred when theTaliban ambush by local police forces.
A quantity of heavy and light weapons was seized.
According to spokesman of the governor of Ghazni , there were no casualties among people in these two incidents.

Two Insurgent Commanders Arrest

Kabul (BNA) two insurgents’ commanders were arrested in two operations carried out by Afghan national forces in the relevant areas of Kandahar and Helmand provinces yesterday.
Defense Ministry’s spokesman office said, the aim of the operations was cleaning of insecure regions from presence of insurgents in the Maiwand district of Kandahar and Nadali district of Helmand province.
During these operations, two local commanders of insurgents and six suspects have been arrested from the mentioned districts.

Thousands of Families Benefit Electricity

Kunduz (BNA) families who joined peace process were benefited electricity energy in Kunduz province.
Asadullah Omarkhai,l  head of Peace Council of Kunduz province  said,  the power production project was completed from the budget of Peace Council in center of Dasht-e-Archi district at the cost of 200,000 dollars within six months.
More than one thousand families who have joined peace process were benefited from free charge power.
Noor Mohammad who joined government forces said, “We have benefited from durable power and asks other oppositions to joint peace process.”
The head of peace council of Kunduz said since the beginning of peace process  up to now more than 700 insurgents have joined government  and work opportunities’ have provided for them.

Thirty-Five Militants Kill

Kabul (BNA) Thirty-Five militants were killed in joint operations carried out by Afghan and coalition forces ins some provinces of the country.
Interior Ministry’s Press Office said the operations conducted in Kunar, Laghman, Baghlan, Kandahar, Urozgan, Maidan-Wardak, Logar and Ghazni provinces, killed 35 militants, wounded 11 and arrested 9 others
And a huge quantity of heavy and light weapons was seized.
Afghan Security forces also discovered and defused two mines and 8 mortars mines from Logar and Herat provinces.

The message notes that representing the people of USA, I am conveying my sincerest congratulations to the government and the people of Afghanistan on the 94th independence anniversary of Afghanistan and Eid-ul-Fitr.
Obama stressed that I am pleased to support the people of Afghanistan towards creation of a peaceful future, secure, prosperous and democratic order especially during the current year that the security forces of Afghanistan are taking over the responsibility of security of the country.
He stressed further that I witness attractive progress throughout Afghanistan in different spheres including health, education, women rights and trade.
Afghanistan makes a better future for the future generations and I am sure that friendship between our nations will continue.

Ten Insurgents Kill

Kabul (BNA) ten insurgents were killed in Laghman province last night.
The insurgents were killed in an operation launched by Afghan security forces under the code name of (Zolfaqar Haft) in Hakimabad, Katasang and Gularam areas of Alinegar district, Laghman province.
In the operation, three insurgents were wounded and four others arrested.
Sarhadi Zwak, spokesman for the  governor of Laghman said, the operation started yesterday morning for cleaning of the district from the presence of insurgents, and three insurgents were killed.
Zwak said the operation will continue until the complete eradication of insurgents from the area.
He said, a PK machine gun, a rocket launcher and  three Kalashnikovs were seized and seven motorbikes of the enemies were destroyed.

Suicide Attack Martyrs Four Civilians

Pul-e-Alam (BNA) four civilians were martyred and nine others wounded in a suicide attack in Logar province yesterday.
According to the reports, a local police commander was also among the wounded.
The incident occurred in Chouk-e- Shaheedan, Pul-e-Alam city, capital of Logar province by a suicide bomber through his improvised explosive device.
Deen Mohammad Darweesh, spokesman of the governor of Logar said, in this attack, three civilians and a policeman lost their lives.
Darweesh said, seven civilians and two soldiers including Sabz Ali a local police commander and two children were wounded in the attack.
The aim of the attack was killing   commander Sabz Ali so the suicide bomber riding on a bicycle exploded his improvised explosive device near the convoy of this commander.
Meanwhile Dr. Zareef, head of public health department of Logar province reported the health condition of the wounded critical.
The local authorities of Logar province blamed the Taliban for the attack and said the security officials have started investigation for identifying and arresting of perpetrators of the incident.

Kabul (BNA): Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen, Minister of Information and Culture extended felicitation over the victory of Afghanistan National Football Team against Pakistan football team in a friendship match to National Olympic Committee, the youth and athletes of the country.
The Minister of Information and Culture told BNA, “Sport plays a vital role in bringing nations together and  athletes are the real messengers of peace, affection, friendship and brotherhood, adding holding this friendship match in Kabul was important because Kabul is hosting two teams of the two Muslim countries after years long”.
According to Raheen, result of the match has shown that juvenile of sports in the country are maturing.
