Armed Oppositions Arrest

Kabul (BNA): As a result of cleansing operation in Paktia province seven insurgents arrested by national army on Thursday.
According to the Defense Ministry’ press office, the cleansing operation launched in relevant areas of Ahmad Abad district in which  six Kg of  explosives, a motorcycle and two mines were seized.
According to another report, in an operation of the national army in Logar province two insurgents along with a RPG7 shell and a motorcycle were seized.
Thus, as a result of a mine explosion planted by insurgents, a soldier martyred in Sayed Abad district of Maidan-Wardak province and in Nawah district of Helmand province a national army soldier martyred and two others wounded.

Three Soldiers Martyr in Helmand province

Friday August 30, 2013
Kabul (BNA): As a result of a suicide attack three National army soldiers martyred and four others wounded in Helmand province on Wednesday.
Zienullah Stanekzai, head of Helmand governor’s press office told BNA, a suicide attacker blasted a vehicle filled with explosives near a national army checkpoint as a result of which three soldiers martyred and four others wounded.
The injured were transferred to the provincial hospital and the health condition of one of them is critical.

Weapons Handed Over to DAIAG program

Kabul (BNA): Fifty six weapons and some ammunition were handed over to DAIAG program in Takhar province the day before yesterday.
Gen. Abdul Hanan Qataghani, police chief of Takhar told BNA, the weapons and ammunitions were seized in several operations launched by security forces in relevant areas of that province which handed over to DAIAG program at the presence of the governor of the mentioned province.

Kabul (BNA): Counter narcotic police discovered more than one hundred Kg of narcotic drugs in Herat province on Wednesday.
Abdul Rauf Ahmadi, spokesman to Heart police said, traffickers of narcotics had placed 89 Kg of opium and 19 Kg of heroine in a lorry and wanted to smuggle it to outside the country which was discovered and seized within Islam Qala port of Herat province.
The spokesman said the driver of the vehicle was accused of smuggling the narcotics and arrested by police.

Ten Armed Rebels Arrest in Farah

Farah (BNA) ten armed rebels were arrested by national army forces in Farah province the other day.
Mohammad Hanif Rezayee, spokesmanto the national army forces in Farah said, the rebels have been arrested during an operation carried out in Balabalouk district of Farah province.
According to him, eight roadside mines have discovered and seized in this operation.

Taliban Kill Six Oil Tanker Drivers

Kabul (BNA) Taliban killed six oil tanker drivers and damaged 35 oil tankers the night before last.
As a result of the Taliban’s attack on NATO owned tankers, six drivers were martyred and ten others wounded in Farah province.
In this attack, 35 tankers were set on fire.
The convoy of NATO tankers while parked on Herat –Kandahar highway became the target of the Taliban attack.
Abdul Rahman Zhwandai, spokesman to the governor of Farah said, in this incident, six drivers were martyred and ten others wounded.
Meanwhile, doctors in a health center of Farah province reported the health condition of the three injured critical.

Kabul (BNA) a rocket fired by the Taliban hit a house, martyred a child and wounded four others in Kunar province the night before last.
Colonel Abdul Habib Syeedkhaili, police chief of Kunar province  said, the rocket hit a residential house in the Sarkanou district of Kunar province, as a result of which a child was martyred and four others wounded.
Syeedkhaili added, Taliban using every opportunity to kill our innocent people.

Four National Army Soldiers Martyr

Kabul (BNA) four national army soldiers were martyred in two separate incidents while they were carrying their daily security duties.
National Defense Ministry’s Press Office said BNA; four national army soldiers were martyred in explosion of roadside mines in the relevant areas of Manogi district of Kunar and Arghandab district of Kandahar provinces and two others wounded.
The report says that another national army soldier lost his life in explosion of a roadside mine in Maidan-Wardak province. 
According to another report, three armed Taliban were killed in a cleansing operation carried out by national army forces in the relevant areas of Maidan-Wardak province the other day.
The operation started for clearing of insecure regions from presence of militants in Faizo area of Maidan Shaher.
Defense Ministry’s Press Office said, in this operation, three militants were killed and seven others wounded.

Mehtarlam (BNA) a seventeen member group of armed Taliban under the command of Hazratullah Bambaz were joined to peace process in Laghman province the other day.
Mohammad Omar Zwak, spokesman to the governor of Laghman said, the group previously fought against government forces in the relevant areas of Bodpesh district and on Kabul-Jalalabad highway in Tangi Abreshem region.
Zwak added that the oppositions also surrendered their weapons to the government.

Four Civilians Kill in Suicide attack

Lashkarga (BNA) in a suicide bomb attack in Lashakarga, capital city of Helmand province four civilians were martyred and fifteen others wounded this noon.
Omar Zwak , spokesman to the governor of Helmand  province said, a suicide attacker exploded his explosive  packed car close to a convoy of foreign troops killed four civilians and wounded fifteen others.
According to unconfirmed reports, in this attack, three foreign troops have killed and one other wounded.
