Seminar on Ghazni Held

Kabul (BNAa three-day seminar titled “Introduction of Ghazni” was held the other day in southern Ghazni province.
The seminar was attended by Cultural Deputy of Ministry of the Information and Culture Sayed Musadiq Khalili, Ghazni governor and representative of ICESCO.
At the opening of the seminar, Ghazni governor Mohammad Musa Akbardzada said, “In honor to finalize the festivals of Ghazni 2013, 40 gates have been constructed, and added that a huge flag which will raised and carried by 40 students and 40 tribal elders will be made.”
The governor said the ceremony which would be attended by domestic and foreign guests would be highly commemorated.
He asked the Taliban to stop violence in Ghazni because it is the honor of Afghan people.
Following, Cultural Deputy for the Ministry of Information and Culture told participants of the seminar, “The seminar aimed to provide information about the history of Ghazni and 2013 festivals, adding reconstruction work of the historic monuments previously surveyed by the Ministry of Information and Culture have been completed and the work process on all historic monuments to be completed in late October.”
He asserted that after the opening of 2013 festivals, the Ministry of Information and Culture held seminars on Ghazni with cooperation of ICESCO in Kabul and the ministry was determined to hold a scientific seminar on Hakim Sanayee Ghaznavi’s works and poems in Kabul city.
Meanwhile, Dr. Abbas Sadri, representative of ICESCO to Kabul said the title of Islamic cultural center has been given to Ghazni by Cultural Ministers of Islamic world based on glorious history of Ghazni, adding further steps had to be taken for protection and renovation of Ghazni.
It is worth of mentioning that the seminar continues for three days in Ghazni province.

Kabul (BNA)   Dr. Sarmast, founder and the general manager of Afghan National Institute of Music in an interview with BNA correspondent briefing about the achievement of the institute said, a music band from the students of the institute in invitation of Denmark government will visit that country on September first. The band during their stay in Denmark, conducting some concerts will introduce Afghan music to the people of that country.

He added that this Afghan musical band would perform concerts in big halls of that country for eight days.

Dr. Sarmast talking about the recent visit of a seven-member group of students of Afghan National Institute of Music said, the group or the band consisted of a girl and six boys visited the South Korean Republic in invitation of the foreign ministry of that country.

The young musicians during their five day stay there, participated in the music  festival of African and Asian countries was conducted in Seoul and Sinchion cities of that country, performing  several concerts introduced Afghan music to South Korean people.

The general manager of National Institute of Music said that earlier music bands of the students of the institute to perform concerts and to sing and play Afghan classic and local music and at last to introduce Afghan music in general have visited US, Germany, Poland, Demark, Uzbekistan, Tanzania and South Korea.

According Dr. Samast the Afghan National Institute of Music has been established in 2010 and presently 175 students both boys and girls are taught by 30 interior and foreign professional teachers there.

Dr. Sarmast added, the institute accepts the students from 4th grade and continue their studies up to 14th grade. He claimed that 55% of the students of the institute are coming from orphan houses and nurseries, aiming through giving them vocational training to provide them a prosperous future.

He stressed that the graduates of the institute could work with Afghanistan National   Orchestra, operating under the Ministry of Information and Culture and they will have the honor to the members of National Music Orchestra of the country.

In addition, the National Army Orchestra needs to recruit the graduates of the National Institute of Music.  Regretfully, still music is not a part of curriculums of kindergartens and schools of the country because there are no music teachers to teach there. Film industry is improving in the country which needs music players and singers; also, many radio and TV stations are operating in the country that need players of music instrument, vocalists, leader of orchestra and composers, the graduates of Afghan National Institute can fill this gap. Therefore, the students of the institute have greater opportunities to work and to enjoy a prosperous life.

Dr. Sarmast strongly emphasized that the Afghan National Institute of Music that operates within the framework of the Ministry of Education try their best in understanding with the Ministry of Higher Education to upgrade the institute to Music Academy.

Kabul (BNA) : Mother for peace France Organization with its humanitarian activities in Afghanistan since a while delivers medical aid to Afghan people in KALAKAN and QARABAGH districts of Kabul. According to Mr. Speher Kazem Program Coordinator of the Mother for Peace France organization this medical team has made by one experienced doctor and one midwife, nurse who is working in the villages of (QOUCHI, SAID ABAD, AGA SARAY and MEYANJOY).

It is mentionable that monthly around 1500 people including men, women and children are benefited from medical aids and as doctor recognize the necessity of patients they will also receive free medicines.

Mr. SSpeher Kazem  also said; behind their medical activities in the mentioned areas the Mother for Peace France Organization has also done some activities regarding education, agricultural skills and literacy courses for women and we can highlights some activities like (construction of one clinic in MAHALA village of ISTALEEF, construction of one school in MEYANJOY village of QARABAGH, and organizing Agricultural skills and literacy project for 90 women in KAMARI village of BAGRAMI district of Kabul.

Mr. Speher Kazem also adds; that we have plan to expand our activities in near future to other provinces of Afghanistan, like(Bamyan and herat).

Hamid Karzai Arrives in Islamabad

Kabul (BNA) Hamid Karzai President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and his accompanying delegation arrived in Islamabad, Pakistan this morning.
Khalil Menawi Director of BNA reported from Islamabad, a number of Pakistani high-ranking officials, Afghan ambassador to Pakistan and the members of the embassy welcomed the President in Islamabad international airport.
Afghan President during his stay in Islamabad will meet Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and some other high-ranking officials of Pakistan and discuss peace negotiation process with oppositions, specific and constructive commandments of Pakistan in counter-terrorism campaign and ensuring peace in the region.
This is the 20th time that Hamid Karzai President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan visits Pakistan and so far the visits had not brought result as expected, we wait to see what will be the result of the recent visit.
Dr. Rangeen Dadfar Spanta, advisorto national security, foreign and Finance, Ministers, Dr. Ashraf Ghazni Ahmadzai chairman of transferring security responsibilities to Afghan forces commission, Salahuddin Rabani, head of peace high council, Abdul Karim Khoram, chairman of presidential office, Mrs. Homaira Lodeen Itemadi, deputy chairman of the president’s office and Emal Faizi, spokesman of the president are accompanying President Karzai in his visit to Islamabad.

Three frontier Policemen Kill

Monday, August 26, 2013
Kabul (BNA) three frontier policemen were martyred in a clash with Taliban in Badghis province yesterday.
The clash started when Taliban attacked a police post in Jouganj area, Bala murghab district, in which three Taliban were killed and a rebel and four national army troops were wounded.
A security official of Badghis who called to be anonymous said BNA, the police forces succeeded to repulse   the attack of Taliban and also captured a quantity of weapons.

Haqani’s Network Commander Arrests

Kabul (BNA) a commander of Haqani’s network arrested in Logar province yesterday.
Defense Ministry’s press office said, Haji Mohammad Ibrahim, a commander of the Taliban affiliated to Haqani’s network, who supplied weapons and ammunition was arrested during a cleansing operation by national army forces in Pul-e-Alam district of Logar province.
A quantity of weapons and explosives were seized.
According to another report, three insurgents were arrested during a cleansing operation conducted by national army forces in Borka district of Baghlan province.
A Kalashnikov, a pistol, a set of communication and other military equipment were seized.

Kabul (BNA) Three National Army Soldiers were martyred in a roadside mine explosion in the relevant areas of Urozgan province the other day.
Defense Ministry’s Press Office said, three national army soldiers were martyred and three others wounded in a roadside mine explosion during their security missions in Dehrarwoud district of Urozgan province.
In another mine blast a national army soldier was martyred and four others wounded in Maiwand district of Kandahar province.
In a similar incident, a national army soldier was martyred in Gozra district of Herat province and six others wounded in roadside mine explosions in Gereshk and Marja districts of Helmand province.

Ten Armed Rebels Kill

Ghazni (BNA) four armed insurgents were killed in a clash with up- risers in Ghazni province yesterday.
Nabi Jan, press in charge of Ghazni governor’s office said, the clash occurred in the Behzad village, Moqor district of Ghazni province, as a result of which four rebels were killed and two others wounded.
He said, heavy and light weapons were seized
According to another report, six armed rebels were killed in an operation with national army forces in Zena khan district of Ghazni province the other day.
The source said this operation launched in the Seasang village, Zena khan district of Ghazni province, in which six rebels were killed and a heavy weapon of the enemy seized.
He added, there were no casualties among national security forces.

Five Taliban Killed and Four Wounded

Paroon (BNA) Five armed Taliban were killed and four others wounded in a clash with Afghan forces in Nooristan province the night before last.
The clash occurred in Kamdish district when a group of armed Taliban crossing from Pakistan side and attacked Afghan troops.
A police official in Kamdish district of Nooristan said, in this clash, five Pakistani insurgents were killed and four others wounded.
According to him, the attackers fled back to Pakistan and took   the bodies of the dead and injured.
It is being said that a civilian has been wounded in the clash.
The local officials of Nooristan blamed Pakistani intelligence services for the clash.

Faizabad (BNA) the branch office of foreign affairs ministry was opened in Faizabad city capital of Badakhshan province the other day.
In the inauguration ceremony of the office Dr. Shah Waliullah Adeeb, governor of Badashkhan said the opening branch office of foreign ministry as a need has taken place in request of the authorities of this  province.
The governor of Badakhshan said, the aim of establishing this office, is to provide facilities for Afghans, ensure relations with UNAMA branch and consulates of neighboring countries.
Jamrad Shala, a representative of foreign ministry in Badakhshan said, hundreds of people cross the border between Afghanistan and Tajikistan; with the establishment of the office their problems will be settled.
