7 insurgents killed

Kabul (BNA) seven armed Taliban insurgents were killed in a bombardment of NATO forces in Ghazni province yesterday.  The incident occurred in the relevant areas of Ander district, when group of armed Taliban organized terrorist attacks.  BNA quoting NATO reports, in the bombardment 7 Taliban insurgents were killed, NATO said a local commander of Taliban was killed in the incident.  It is being said that the civilians had no casualties.

Taliban Nominated governor joined peace process

Mazasr-e-Sharif (BNA)  19 members group of armed opposition were joined to peace process in Balkh province yesterday.  Ghul Khan nominated governor of Taliban in Dehdadi district with his 15 men were joined to peace process in Balkh province.  Abdul Razaq Qaderi police chief of Balkh said BNA, the men surrendered their 14 weapons to security command of that province.  . It is being said that the head of peace council, deputy governor and tribal elders called joined of them a good action in that province.

11 armed rebels killed in Herat

Kabul (BNA)   The press sources of national defense ministry said that during cleansing operation in Herat province casualties inflected to armed insurgents.  The sources said 11 armed rebels were killed and 7 others wounded during Naweed 5 operation in the relevant areas of Herat province.   According to defense ministry, the operation conducted by Zafar 207 army crops personnel in the relevant areas of Robat Sangi district of Herat, in which 11 armed rebels were killed and 7 others wounded.  According to another report, other operation was launched in the outskirts of Shindand district of Herat province, a talib was killed and one outer wounded.  It is said that during in these operations, light and heavy weapons were seized by the forces.

Haqani commander arrested

Kabul (BNA) a commander of Haqani was arrested in the relevant areas of Khost province yesterday.  Defense ministry reported BNA, Hamdulhaq a commander of Haqani along with two of his men were arrested by personnel of special contingents of national army from Terzai district of Khost province.  The commander had active role in suicide attacks and carrying out of terrorist activities in that province.  2 weapons and quantity of ammunition were seized.  According to another report, a commander of Haqani with 4 of his men was arrested in suburb of Khost city as well.  Ahmad Shah had active role in providing of ammunition and explosives and organizing of suicide attacks and planting roadside mine in that province. He was arrested along with his 4 men by national army personnel

Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai after receiving the petition of Ms. Zamzama from Jalalabad city had ordered concerned authorities to take legal action against those who abducted her and her brother.
In the order, the Attorney General and the interior ministry have been tasked to arrest and pursue the case and bring to justice those responsible at its earliest and provide security for the petitioner’s family.
Ms. Zamzama has claimed that armed men of Taj Mohammad abducted her and her brother there years ago and set them free in condition, while still receiving threats.

Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai accepted the credentials of the new Czech ambassador, Miroslavo Kusek in a ceremony at the presidential palace the other day.
After the ceremony, the president and the new Czech ambassador to Afghanistan discussed further expansion of relations.  President Karzai called Czech Republic long-time friend of Afghanistan and thanked Czech for its assistance to Afghanistan and wished success for the ambassador during his mission in Afghanistan.
The ambassador said that his country is interested to cooperate in investment in development and especially in private sector in Afghanistan.  He added that during his mission he will strive towards further expansion of relation of cooperation between the two nations.  Dr. Zalmai Rassul Foreign Minister and Hameed Sedeeq head of protocol of the ministry were also present during the ceremony.

President Karzai flays NATO air attack in Kunar

Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai strongly condemned the NATO air attack on Sheigal district of Kunar province in which 10 civilians were martyred.  On Wednesday attack two homes were targeted in which 10 countrymen including women and children were martyred and four others were wounded.
President Hamid Karzai while condemning this air attack once again confirmed his previous position that terrorism is not in the “”Afghan villages and homes and war cannot succeed here.
He instructed formation of a delegation to be sent to the area and assess the incident and convey the sympathies to the bereaved families.  The delegation is fled by Presidential Advisor Shujaul Mulk Jalala.
He wished peace for the souls of the martyrs and asked patience for the bereaved families.

Drone attack kills Taliban commander in Kunar

Asadabad (BNA) seven armed Taliban including of a commander of them were killed in drone attack in Kunar province last night.  The Taliban were killed in drone attack in the Aigal area, Ghaziabad district of Kunar province.  Haroon Yousoofzai Medias in charge of 201 army crops stationed in Kunar said BNA, in the operation, Mahmood a local commander of Taliban was killed while organizing terrorist attacks in the Aigal area.  According to Yousofzai, the civilians had no casualties in the operation.

10 Taliban joined peace process

Faizabad (BNA) 10 members group of armed Taliban militants were joined peace process in Orgo district of Badakhshan province yesterday.  A source of national security dept. of Badakhshan said BNA, as result of efforts of officials of the dept. the 10 members group with their hand arms were joined BNA process Dr. Shawaliullah Adeeb governor of Badakhshan said, I requests other militants to giving up violence and joined peace process.

Kunar (BNA) Mullah Shahpoor commander of Pakistani Taliban and 2 members of Alqaeda were killed in air bombardment of NATO forces.  It is being said, at least 9 civilians including of women and children were martyred in the bombardment.  According to reports, the Afghan and American troops attacked on hideouts of Mullah Shapoor and after a clash, the air forces bombardment the area.  Fazullah Wahidi governor of Kunar said BNA, Mullah Shahpoor Pakistani Taliban commander with 2 members of Alqaeda were killed.  According to local officials of Kunar, the Pakistani Taliban commander was main agent for assassination of Malik Zareen a former jihadi commander.  Malik Zareen was killed some days ago in a terrorist attack in Kunar.  Governor of Kunar said assessments has been started for killing of civilians in the attack.
