Senate Discusses Issues On Its Agenda

Kabul (BNA) In yesterday’s session of the Senate the agreement on friendship and cooperation between Afghanistan and France was confirmed and creation of home for the old people met serious reaction. 
Chaired by Mohammad Alam Ezedyar first secretary of the senate, the senators discussed the agreement on friendship and cooperation between Afghanistan that is covering cooperation in security, defense, economic development, educational cooperation, good governance, creation of infrastructures and trade growth which was signed in January of 2012 by the higher authorities of the two countries. 
The agreement was confirmed by the senators. 
Meanwhile, the senators discussed creation of homes for the old people presented by the Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS). 
They said that this against all accepted Islamic values and against the Afghani norms. 
They said that the rights of mother and fathers have been enshrined in the Holy Kuran and the Prophet’s Hadiths. 
They added that sending of the mother and father to the charity homes is not allowed and it is not acceptable. 
They advised the ARCS to strengthen its support to the mad people and orphan children.
The senate session decided that Mrs.  Fatema Gailani should attend one of the sessions of the senate and answer the questions of the senators on those issues.

Kabul (BNA) The authorities of National Security Directorate insist that the security situation is improving and concerns after 2014 cannot be justifiable.
According to BNA report, recently an intelligence service of a western country, describing the security situation in Afghanistan critical has warned that attacks on western forces stationed in that country will increase.
The report maintained that problem such as administrative corruption and authoritarianism have added to the security problems; and so called green on blue attacks is another heinous phenomenon that can harm the coordination between Afghan and international forces. Also, the report has considered the presence of 35000 foreign troops for training Afghan soldiers as a need.
But Shafiqullah Tahery the deputy spokesman of Afghan intelligence service insists that the security situation is improving and the major part of the country is controlled by Afghan security forces and the process is further improving.
He told BNA correspondent, “We know better about the situation of the country and are hopeful for the future. What has been said about Afghanistan outside the country is their view and comprehension.”  
The report of the intelligence agency of this western country has been released in a time; the commander of French forces in Afghanistan also has confirmed that security has been enforced in 80% of Afghan soil and in the other 20% there are incidences that caused by insurgents passing the border line  challenge the security.
The ministries of defense and interior also say that there would be no any security challenge after 2014 because the Afghan security forces have the capability to fight against all foreign backed insurgents and ensure security all over the country.
Meanwhile Afghan analysts of the situation believe, the withdrawal of international forced from the country has been organized in way that leaves no place for returning Afghanistan to the past.

Afghanistan boxing competitions begins

Kabul (BNA) the 7th round of Afghanistan boxing national team competitions’ was started in Kabul.  In these competitions, approximately, 130 athletes from 17 provinces of the country including of Kabul were attended and will contest within 3 days in 10 classes.  BNA reported, the aim holding of these competitions, is definition and election of best Afghan boxer for boxing national team.

4 Taliban militants killed in Maidan-Wardak

Maidan-Shaher (BNA) four Taliban militants were killed and 2 of them were wounded in air attack of NATO forces in Maidan-Wardak province.  Mohammad Hanif Hanifi governor of Maidan-Wrdak said to BNA, the killed rebels handed in several terrorist attacks, plundering of passengers goods, in Kabul-Kandahar highway.  He added, these Taliban rebels were come under air attack of NATO forces in their hideouts in the Shah Kabul village, Nerkh district of Maidan-Wardak province.  Governor of Nerkh district said in this attack, the hideouts of rebels were completed destroyed.

Faizabad (BNA) after cleaning from several regions of Wardoj district of Badakhshan from presence of Taliban, the security situation in this district is normal.  The security forces of Badakhshan said that they managed cleaned several regions of this district from presence of armed rebels and decreased extension attacks of these fighters.  Group of armed Taliban attacked on Wardoj district of Badakhshan province yesterday morning.  Sakhi Dad Haidari police chief of Badakhshan said to BNA, in this attack 7 armed Taliban including of 2 commanders of them were killed and 9 other rebels were wounded.  The local authorities of Badakhshan said more security forces were stationed in Wardoj district.

3 local commander of Taliban killed

Kabul (BNA) three local commanders of Taliban were killed in military operation in the country.  The identities of these commanders are not clear but they were killed in military operation of Afghan and NATO forces in the vicinities of Helmand, Ghazni and Kandahar provinces.  BNA quoting from NATO press statement, these commanders were targeted by militaries while terrorist activities.  NATO said tens of arms and hundreds kg of explosive materials and narcotic were seized by these militaries.

Maidan-Wardak (BNA) clashes between Afghan and NATO forces occurred in Maidan-Wardak yesterday evening.  This clash took place between Afghan and NATO forces in the Sesi area, Skyeedabad district.  A security source of Maidan-Wardak said to BNA, in this clash 3 national army militaries and 2 NATO soldiers were killed and 2 other NATO soldiers were wounded.  The details of this clash are not clear yet.  Governor and in charge police of Maidan-Wardak said nothing about this clash, but NATO said a team went to Maidan-Wardak for assessment of this event.

3 Taliban commanders killed in Herat

Herat (BNA) three commanders of Taliban with their 4 colleagues were killed in a military operation in the Shindand district of Herat province last night.  These commanders were came under air attack of NATO while terrorist activities and lost their lives.  In charges of Zafar army crops confirmed this report said to BNA, among the killed militias, Mullah Akhtar military commander of Taliban in the Shindand district, Farsi and Adersekan districts, Mullah Sultan Shewai council member of Quetta and Mullah Hasan nominated governor of Taliban in the Shindand district were included.  These militias were came under air attack of NATO when their car passing from Zerkoh village to Majborabad.   It is said that three other killed militias were delegations who come from Quetta of Pakistan to Shindand district for assistance of Taliban.   It should be said, in the recent days, Mullah Akhtar was committed  responsibility of terrorist groups of Taliban in the Shindand, Adersekan and Farsi districts and was involved in planting of mine and terrorist attacks in these districts and attack on local police posts of Zerkoh village.

Suicide attack prevented in Badakhshan

Faizabad (BNA) in special operation of police forces in Badakhshan province, a suicide assailant was arrested.  This terrorist has plan to attack on security forces who going for ensuring of security to Wardoj district.  Spokesman of Badakhshan governor Abdul Maroof said, the suicide attacker has been arrested in operation of security forces in that province.    According to Maroof, a suicide vest coat and quantity of explosive devices were seized by these forces.

Kabul (BNA) The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Zalmi Rassoul, attended the annual coordination meeting of the Organization or Islamic Cooperation on the sidelines of the 67th UN General Assembly in New York other day.
Dr. Rassoul underlined the steady and on-time progress of the Transition process, the success of the Tokyo Conference and the Afghan High Peace Council’s reinvigorated efforts in the context of the peace process. Dr. Rassoul called on OIC member states to support the Afghan people’s just quest for a lasting peace.
“Afghanistan’s reconciliation efforts have gained momentum” Dr. Rassoul said. “Having concluded its visit to Saudi Arabia, a high- level delegation of the Council, headed by Chairman Salahuddin Rabbani, will soon visit Pakistan for result-oriented discussions on ways to move the peace process forward.”
“We are particularly grateful for the OIC’s support for the success of our reconciliation efforts and call on member states to do whatever they can to help us realize the aspiration and right of the Afghan people for a lasting and just peace.”
Dr. Rassoul also condemned the recent acts of insult to the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and said, “Freedom of speech should, by no means, be interpreted as a green light for defamation of Prophets, religions and beliefs.”
“By the same token, we should not allow such acts to undermine our shared goal of mutual respect and peaceful co-existence among all religions and civilizations.”
