Kabul (BNA) Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen Minister of Information and culture, addressing the literary gathering entitled” night of poem and memory” organized in honor of the high position of Shahed Prof. Burhanuddin Rabani and the peace week and national unity said that Ustad left behind a bright way.
The gathering was by some members of the National Assembly, lecturers of the university, deputy ministers of some ministers of some ministries, poets, writers from the center and province, Dr. Raheen said that Ustad believes in his path and worked so much in different eras that he could attract many followers who praised his perceptions.
The poets read out their poems on the struggle and cultural life of Ustad Rabani.
Sayed Habib Shah Lecturer of the Kabul University talked on the personality of Ustad and his activities and Wasel Noor Muhmand deputy Minister of Labor, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled recalled some memories of Ustad while he was meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia and President of Senegal.
Salahuddin Rabbani chairman of the high peace council while appreciating the government over marking the peace week and the first anniversary of Shahed Ustad Burhanuddin Rabbani former chairman of the high peace council said that the pious people of Afghanistan marked the activities and achievements of Ustad who laid his life on the path of ensuring peace and freedom.
At the end letters of merits were distributed by Salahuddin Rabbani, Deen Mohammad Rashedi deputy minister for publication of ministry of information and culture and Ahmad Wali Masoud to some of the personalities and the media men.

Justice Minister Visits Sar-i-Pul

Kabul (BNA) Minister for Justice Habibullah Ghalib paid a visit to Sar-i-Pul province yesterday.
Accompanied by officials from attorney General Office and directorate to counter corruption, the minister in meeting with local officials besides listening to the problems had instructed concerned bodies to solve the problems of provincial administrations.

91% of Targeted Tasks Completed

Kabul (BNA) Najib Amin deputy head of regulation and assessment of administration affairs secretariat of the Council of Ministers told the press that the two month time given for implementation of decree No 45 of the president is complete and the assigned departments were able to achieve 30 instances to tasks. These include:
-Naming of localities and Kabul streets
-Enlisting the government land usurpers and the amount of land usurped.
-Categorizing of authorities for addressing the criminal files,
-Mechanism of tests for civil service officials,
  -The list of those irresponsible people extracting mines.
Provincial visits by cabinet members starting from second half of Sunbula till the start of Mizan 1391 a total of 29 trips were carried out.
Amin Najib added that the tasks of the third month were 47 instances of which 31 department were compelled to achieve them.
He added that on the basis of the decree 45 this department was assigned to supervise the implementation of the provision of the decree and orders of the president during the five years (1385-1390) and report to the presidential office.
Our findings indicate that during this period 10544 tasks were given by these decree and orders to various departments and 91% of them were achieved.
He also mentioned the tasks assigned by the plenary session of the Council of Ministers on the tenth of Mizan in respect to development projects including that of Kabul Municipality to be supervised by the ministry of economy and supervision of highways by the ministry of public works, assessment of water supply possibilities for Kabul City and New Kabul City to the Urban development Ministry and elimination of the similar structure were given to the ministries of economy and finance.

Private Education Institutes Hold Workshop

Kabul (BNA) Eleven private education institutes in conjunction with the higher education ministry held workshop with the objective to improve education quality.
In his speech, the minister for higher education Dr. Obidullah Obid stated the planning for the improvement of the education system in government universities has yielded the desired outcome and the program would be implementing in the private education institutes.
In his speech Mohammad Usman Babiri the deputy to the higher education ministry stressed for reviewing the teaching quality in the private education institutes, saying with having higher education the country can achieve progress.
According to another report, Dr. Obid laid the foundation stone of Nursing Faculty here yesterday.
The project at a cost of 1.6 million US dollars funded by the ministry for higher education would be completed within year.
Professor Shirin Aqa Zarif the rector of medical faculty said in his speech at the ceremony.

Kabul (BNA) The deputy to secretary of defense of Britain during visit to Afghanistan yesterday and holding meeting with deputy to defense ministry Anayatullah Nazari exchanged views on giving training and equipping the national army, press department of national defense ministry said.
In the meeting, the deputy defense ministry Anayatullah Nazari noted that the national army is capable enough to assume security charge of the country.
However, he called for the political and logistic support of the international community.
For his part, the British dignitary Jonathan Thomson assured his government’s continued support beyond 2014 to Afghanistan.

House of People Commissions Meet

Kabul (BNA) The commissions of the House of People met and discussed issues of their agendas.
At the commission on international affairs the meeting strongly condemned the recent assertions of the commander of the Iranian Passdaran saying that in case of Israeli attack on Iran they will attack the US bases in Afghanistan. 
The commission also discussed probable signing of strategic treaty between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
They said that Pakistan should stop rocket attacks on the eastern regions of Afghanistan, stop supporting the terrorists and they asked the minister of foreign affairs to respond to the questions of the commission members.
In the commission for domestic affairs, consolidation of borders, national security and local administration security situation in the country was discussed especially the recent insecurity and suicide attacks in Khost and Nangharhar provinces.
The deputies also discussed the issue of merger of the Independent Local Organs Department to the Ministry of Interior as has been proposed by Mohammad Nawab Mangal.
Some of the deputies considered this proposal as effective.

Kabul (BNA) A message has been dispatched on behalf of President Hamid Karzai addressed to the President of Brazil congratulating him on the national day of that country. 
The message reads in part: 
Representing the people of Afghanistan I want to convey my sincerest felicitations on the national day of Brazil to you and through you to the friendly people of your country.
The people of Afghanistan are happy over their friendly ties between Afghanistan and Brazil and wish its further strengthening in different spheres.

Senate Discusses Issues On Its Agenda

Kabul (BNA) In yesterday’s session of the Senate the agreement on friendship and cooperation between Afghanistan and France was confirmed and creation of home for the old people met serious reaction. 
Chaired by Mohammad Alam Ezedyar first secretary of the senate, the senators discussed the agreement on friendship and cooperation between Afghanistan that is covering cooperation in security, defense, economic development, educational cooperation, good governance, creation of infrastructures and trade growth which was signed in January of 2012 by the higher authorities of the two countries. 
The agreement was confirmed by the senators. 
Meanwhile, the senators discussed creation of homes for the old people presented by the Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS). 
They said that this against all accepted Islamic values and against the Afghani norms. 
They said that the rights of mother and fathers have been enshrined in the Holy Kuran and the Prophet’s Hadiths. 
They added that sending of the mother and father to the charity homes is not allowed and it is not acceptable. 
They advised the ARCS to strengthen its support to the mad people and orphan children.
The senate session decided that Mrs.  Fatema Gailani should attend one of the sessions of the senate and answer the questions of the senators on those issues.

Kabul (BNA) The authorities of National Security Directorate insist that the security situation is improving and concerns after 2014 cannot be justifiable.
According to BNA report, recently an intelligence service of a western country, describing the security situation in Afghanistan critical has warned that attacks on western forces stationed in that country will increase.
The report maintained that problem such as administrative corruption and authoritarianism have added to the security problems; and so called green on blue attacks is another heinous phenomenon that can harm the coordination between Afghan and international forces. Also, the report has considered the presence of 35000 foreign troops for training Afghan soldiers as a need.
But Shafiqullah Tahery the deputy spokesman of Afghan intelligence service insists that the security situation is improving and the major part of the country is controlled by Afghan security forces and the process is further improving.
He told BNA correspondent, “We know better about the situation of the country and are hopeful for the future. What has been said about Afghanistan outside the country is their view and comprehension.”  
The report of the intelligence agency of this western country has been released in a time; the commander of French forces in Afghanistan also has confirmed that security has been enforced in 80% of Afghan soil and in the other 20% there are incidences that caused by insurgents passing the border line  challenge the security.
The ministries of defense and interior also say that there would be no any security challenge after 2014 because the Afghan security forces have the capability to fight against all foreign backed insurgents and ensure security all over the country.
Meanwhile Afghan analysts of the situation believe, the withdrawal of international forced from the country has been organized in way that leaves no place for returning Afghanistan to the past.

Afghanistan boxing competitions begins

Kabul (BNA) the 7th round of Afghanistan boxing national team competitions’ was started in Kabul.  In these competitions, approximately, 130 athletes from 17 provinces of the country including of Kabul were attended and will contest within 3 days in 10 classes.  BNA reported, the aim holding of these competitions, is definition and election of best Afghan boxer for boxing national team.
