Mines Neutralized in Nangarhar

NANGARHAR (BNA) Three mines which were planted by armed opposition in outskirt of Nangarhar province, discovered and defused by security forces in outskirt of that province.
Selab 201 army corps press office with releasing a statement told BNA, the security forces discovered and neutralized three mines from Khogyani district of that province.

Regions Clear From Insurgents In Nangarhar

JALALABAD (BNA) The security forces reported from clearing some areas from armed insurgents in parts of Lalpor district, Nangarhar province.
The operation started with attendance of hundreds of militaries with support of air forces and still continues there.
ANA senior commander in east of the country told BNA, so far, eight regions have been cleared from Taliban and ISIS fighters.
Several hideout of the insurgents have been cleared with all war equipment in the mentioned district.
Security officials in east of the country said, the operation will be continued till annihilation of insurgents in the mentioned district.

Taliban Rebels Killed in Urozgan Air Strike

TRENKOT (BNA) Eight armed Taliban were killed in an air strike in Urozgan province yesterday.
The Taliban were suppressed in suburb of Trenot city.
ANA senior commander in south of the country told BNA, the insurgents were targeted while series of terrorist activities by police forces.
With increasing of Taliban activities in suburb of Trenkot city, the air and ground raids of security forces were increased in parts of the province.

HERAT (BNA) Alcoholic beverage production factory has been discovered and destroyed by police forces in Herat province.
The factory has been destroyed in 3rd zone police of that province.
Two persons have been detained and acknowledged to their crimes and are under investigation of police forces.

Road Nomination Commission Holds Meeting

KABUL (BNA) Chaired by acting minister of information and culture Hasina Safi, meeting of road nomination commission was held yesterday.
In the meeting, four points of naming roads delivered by deputy office of Security Council, provincial directorate of information and culture for Daikundi and general directorate of administrative affairs for presidential office were discussed.
After reviewing the respective points, members of the commission made necessary decisions in line with the commission’s procedures.

KABUL (BNA)  Deputy ambassador of Chinese Embassy to Kabul in a meeting with deputy minister of cultural affairs for Ministry of Information and Culture Prof. Mohammad Rasul Bawary said an Asian Civilization Exhibition to be organized in Chinese National Museum in coming future and asked Afghanistan’s participation to the exhibition, BNA reported.
According to the agency, Prof. Bawary said Afghanistan had glorious history and has always been the connecting point between the different civilizations.
Bawary went on saying that the ministry was interested in the exhibition, adding Afghanistan’s participation to the event requires consultation with the relevant officials, BNA added.
Asian Civilization Exhibition would be held in Chinese National Museum in the coming future, the agency concluded.

KABUL (BNA)  Addressing a press conference here at the Government Media and Information Center yesterday, Minister of Labor, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled Faizullah Zaki said that his ministry has spent over 91% of its development budget as well as 97% of the ordinary budget.
“75 laws, bylaws, policies and strategies which were developed for support of private sector this year, are finalized,” the minister added.
He went on saying that 35 MoUs were signed between supply and demand sectors, as result of the decisions made in National Labor Conference.
“25,642 people received vocational trainings across 34 provinces in the country.  Of which, 18,000 are recruited or have started their own business,” the minister added, saying 450,000 people have received their pensions in the ongoing solar year.
Minister Zaki vowed that 18 new orphanages will be constructed till the end of this year.

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani in a statement has strongly condemned terrorist attack on National Directorate of Security’s personnel in Maidan Wardak, extending condolence and sympathy to families of the victims and wishing urgent recovery to those injured in the incident. According to BNA report, President Ghani said; “The enemies of Afghani by launching terrorist attack on NDS personnel in Maidan Wardak have martyred and wounded the country’s honest sons who are always ready to defend the country and protect the people.” “Terrorist groups and their foreign supporters by launching such terrorist attacks cannot weaken the morals of our brave defense and security forces who have strong determination for suppressing terrorist groups,” the President added. The country’s President instructed relevant officials for overall investigation in connection with the incident and timely addressing the injured and victim families.

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani visited the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and met with the ministry’s leadership, BNA reported. The ministry’s first deputy minister Janan Barakzai briefed the President about reforms, anti-corruption efforts, the level of supplies, appointment through the board, meritocracy, fighting crimes, distribution of land and implementation of coupons for martyrs’ families and budget spending. After hearing the reports, President Ghani thanked the MoI for its activities said the process which were begun during the tenure of Amrullah Saleh would be continued, adding NSA Dr. Hamdullah Mohib would lead the ministry’s affairs until the new minister was appointed. He appreciated the ministry’s management affairs during the October parliamentary elections and the process of Presidential candidate registration.
The President directed the Interior Ministry to set up a task forces for better preparation and security of the ballot. Emphasizing on reforms in national police ranks and change in status of the Special Forces, the President directed the police to ensure security of highways in cooperation with the national army. He also stressed increased security of dry ports in order to have more revenue. President Ghani said their united and objective management would help gain people’s trust, adding the international community remained committed to standing by the Afghan security forces and there would be no compromise on their sacrifices in the peace process.

PUL-E-KHUMRI CITY (BNA) The construction work of new congregation mosque has started in Pul-e-Khumri city the provincial capital of the northern Baghlan province yesterday.
Nezamuddin Hamidi mayor of Pul-e-Khumri told BNA correspondent, the mosque building to be built on 900 acres of land with of cost of one million USD funded from development budget of presidential administrative office in two floors within the next six months.
The congregation mosque has the capacity of 2,000 payers in a time, Hamidi added.
Mawlavi Naqibullah head of hajj and pilgrimage department said, the building of old mosque bankrupted, fortunately the construction work of new mosque has started and the payers concerns were solved.
